Welcome
2009 - 2010 School Year: Welcome Letter
Hello!
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and returning families to St. Michael School. St. Michael PTO invites you to join us to make a difference in our children’s school lives. We realize how important your children are to you and that you want the best for them. Do you wish you could have more say and involvement in your school? Being an active member of the PTO can help you achieve that. Some of the events the PTO will sponsor this year are:
| Ladies Choice Dance | Lip Sync |
| Gentlemen’s Choice Dance | Spring Auction |
| Book Fair | Costume Swap |
| Uniform Exchange | Family Fun Evenings |
| Polar Express | Breakfast Buddies |
| And so much more! |
Our goal is a common one. Simply stated, it is to create a better school and better educational as well as spiritual experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where both teachers and administrators can do their best work with the resources we help provide them.
Fundraising is just one part of the PTO. Through fundraising, the PTO is able to donate funds to purchase educational materials and equipment for the school as well as supporting various events for the children. It is essential to have parental involvement from as many parents as possible for the PTO to be effective and truly representative of our school. We are very proud to say that last year the PTO raised well over our budget of $51,450. The monies that were raised supported each teacher’s classroom, contributed to the new Science Lab, provided scholarships to 8th graders, hosted end of the year events as well as providing ongoing support for the school’s capital improvements.
Together we can accomplish more! The PTO has a proposed budget for 2009-2010 of $61,750. We are confident that we will meet and exceed our budget. We will provide even more support to the classrooms and the school as a whole.
We need your help to accomplish our goals! We need you to help us and the school. No time commitment is too small. We encourage you to become active and get involved. The more that a parent gets involved, the more it benefits your child. The personal feeling of satisfaction you receive by helping is impossible to describe.
Thanks so much!
